Anse Marie-Louise sits at the very south of Praslin, below Fond Ferdinand and past the small village of Pointe Cabris. It’s the kind of beach you reach by following the road until it ends — small, granite-walled, with breaking surf in the south-east season and quiet sand in the north-west.
There are no facilities, no resorts, no cafés. The bay faces south and gets the open ocean swell from May to October; outside that window it calms into a swimmable cove.
Best for
A quiet half-day after Fond Ferdinand. Photographers who like dramatic surf.
When to go
November–April for swimmable water. Any time for the walk and the view.
How to get there
South Praslin, follow the road past Fond Ferdinand. About 25 minutes from Anse Volbert by car.
