5 Spices Restaurant sits on a hillside above Anse Soleil on Mahé’s south-west coast — the dining terrace looks down over palm canopy to the bay, with offshore islands visible on a clear day. The kitchen is unusual in Seychelles for taking vegetarian seriously: a full meat-free menu alongside the local Creole and Asian-fusion dishes.
Dinner runs around SCR 500–900 per person plus drinks. Bookings essential for sunset — the small number of edge tables go quickly. The owner often stops by every table; it’s that kind of place.
Best for
Sunset dinner, vegetarians, anyone south-west of the island for the day.
When to go
Sunset, year-round. Book ahead. Dress is smart-casual but no jacket needed.
How to get there
From the Baie Lazare road, follow signs to Anse Soleil — the restaurant is at the top of the steep access track, before the beach. About 45 minutes from Victoria.
What’s nearby
Anse Soleil beach is just below. Anse Takamaka 10 minutes south. Michael Adams art studio in Baie Lazare 5 minutes north.
