Copolia is the most accessible peak in Morne Seychellois National Park — a 45-minute climb from the Sans Souci road to a 500m granite slab with a 270-degree view. You see Victoria and the airport to the east, Conception and Therese to the west, and the central mountains rising to the south.
The trail is well-marked, gains 270m of vertical, and is mostly stone steps and granite outcrop. There are some chains on the steeper sections; nothing technical. Bring water, start by 8am for the cool air, expect to share the summit slab with maybe 5–10 others on a busy day.
Best for
The “I want one mountain hike on this trip” traveller, with any fitness level above the bare minimum.
When to go
Year-round; mornings are coolest. Wet days make the granite slick — bring real shoes.
