On the west-coast sand
Castello sits directly on Anse Kerlan, a long, pale, west-facing beach at the quieter end of Praslin. It is a comfortable, well-run four-star with the sand at its feet and sunset views straight off the terrace.
This corner of the island is calmer and less built up than Côte d’Or, with the Lémuria resort and its championship golf course next door and the hidden crescent of Anse Georgette a short walk or shuttle away.
Quiet, comfortable and well placed
The hotel is unpretentious and good value, with a pool, a beachfront restaurant and rooms a few steps from the sea. It is popular with couples and families who want a relaxed base away from the busier east coast.
The airport is close, which makes arrivals and departures easy, and the rest of Praslin, from the Vallée de Mai to Anse Lazio, is a short drive across the island.
